3 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. salad oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
3 c. apples
Sift twice the flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside. Beat eggs and sugar until creamy. Add oil and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add flour, mix well. Add pecans and apples. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. --SAUCE:--
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
Boil 5 minutes. Spread on top and sides of cake.
