2/3 cup butter
1-3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 by 13 inch pan.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients.
Pour into prepared pans. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted into cake comes out clean.
