1/4 cup butter or shortening
1/2 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. orange extract
Cream the butter or shortening and add the sugar gradually. Beat the yolks until thick and lemon colored. Mix and sift the dry ingredients and add to the first mixture alternately with the milk. add orange extract.
Bake cake in a greased and floured loaf pan, at 375 degrres for 40-45 minutes.
