Quick Malted Milk Cake

This recipe was the senior winner in the Pillsbury 5th Grand National contest
1 cup sifted flour
1-1/2 cups malted milk powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add sour cream;beat for 2 minutes until well blended, with an electric mixer. Add eggs and vanilla;beat for 1-1/2 minutes.
Pour batter into well greased and lightly floured ,8 by 8 by 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
Frost with a chocolate buttercream frosting, with 2 tablespoons malted milk powder added.
