Lemon Zest Pound Cake

1/2 cup butter
3 eggs
1/2 cup lemon yogurt
1-1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbl. lemon juice
1 tsp. shredded lemon peel
Bring butter, eggs, and yogurt to room temperature. Grease and lightly flour a loaf pan. In a bowl stir together flour, baking powder and soda. Set aside.
In a large bowl beat butter with an elecric mixer on medium speed until softened. Gradually add sugar 2 tbl. at a time, beating on medium about 5-6 minutes, or until very light and fluffy. Add vanilla and lemon juice, add eggs one at a time beating for 1 minute after each, add yogurt. Blend in flour, baking powder, and baking soda gradually until just combined.
Bake in the loaf pan at 325 degrees for about 60 minutes, or till cake tests done.
