1 cup shortening
2 cups honey
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
4 cups cake flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Cream shortening and honey. Add eggs, and mix well. Mix dry ingredients, add alternately with milk.
Pour batter into a 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake 40-45 minutes, at 350 degrees. Or until wooden pick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
