1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 cups cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter well. Add sugar and cream till fluffy. Add egg yolks, that have been beaten til light. Add vanilla. Then add milk alternately with the flour and baking powder. Beat well. Pour into a greased and floured square pan. Bake 35-45 minutes, or until cake tests done in the middle.
