Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsps. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1/4 cup soft butter
In a large mixing bowl; blend all ingredients at low speed until combined. Beat on medium speed for 3-4 minutes until well combined.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13 by 9 inch pan. Pour batter into prepared pan. Carefully pour about 1/2 cup chocolate syrup over top of the batter.With a knife, swirl chocolate through cake batter to create a marbled appearance.
Bake about 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
FROSTING:
1-6 ounce package chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
1/2-3/4 cup powdered sugar
1-1/4 cups peanut butter
Melt chocolate chips and butter in microwave oven. Add sugar and peanut butter-beat until smooth. Add 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract.
Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or until frosting reaches a spreading consistency.
