Chocolate Malt Cake

1 cup butter, or margarine, softened
4 eggs
1-3/4 cups evaporated milk, or half and half
1-1/3 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 cup malted milk, instant powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9 by 13 inch pan.
In a large mixing bowl, cream buuter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add malted milk powder, and cocoa, beat til blended. Add eggs, beat well. Sift together dry ingredients, and add to chocolate mixture alternately with half and half.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
CHOCOLATE MALT FROSTING:
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tbl. malted milk powder
1 tbl. baking chocolate
2 tbl. milk
Beat all together until of a spreading consistency
