Butter Pecan Pudding Cake

3/4 cup brown sugar
1-1/4 cups flour
1 tbl. flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1 tbl. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbl. melted butter
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-3/4 cups boiling water
Combine brown sugar and 1 tbl. flour, set aside.
Combine 1-1/4 cups flour with the 3/4 cup sugar and pecans, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Combine milk, butter, and vanilla; beat into the the pecan mixture.
Pour into a greased and floured 8 inch square pan; sprinkle with brown sugar and flour mixture. Pour boiling water carefully over the batter. Do not stir.
Bake until cake springs back lightly to the touch.
