Pineapple Coconut Pie

1-1/2 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 beaten egg yolks
1 tbl. butter
dash of salt
3/4 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
I baked pie shell
Cook first 4 ingredients until thickened. Remove from heat. Add butter, salt, coconut and pineapple. Pour mixture into pie shell.
Cover with meringue or whipping cream.
