Caramel Pecan Pie

36 Kraft Caramels
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 tea. salt
1/2 tea. vanilla
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup pecan halves
1-9" unbaked pie shell
Melt caramels with water and margarine in a saucepan over low heat. Stir occasionally until smooth. Combine sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs. Gradually add caramel sauce; mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie shell.
Bake 350* for 45 min. Pie will appear to be very soft but will become firm as it cools.
