Strawberry Rhubarb Jam

3 cups sliced rhubarb
2 cups sliced fresh ripe strawberries
2 tbl grated orange peel
1/3 cup orange juice
1 box powdered fruit pectin
5-1/2 cups sugar

Combine fruits, orange peel and juice, and pectin in a large saucepan. Bring to full boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Immediately stir in sugar and bring to a full rolling boil, continuing to stir; boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat. Stir the mixture 5 minutes to cool slightly. Ladle jam into hot sterilized jars, filling to within 1/2 inch of the tops. Seal immediately, following the manufacturer's directions. Cool and store.
