Rosy Banana Peach Jam

1 cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
3-1/4 cups mashed fully ripe peaches (about 2 pounds peaches, peeled)
1/2 cup drained chopped Maraschino cherries
2 tbl lemon juice
1 box powdered pectin
6 cups sugar
Combine prepared fruit and lemon juice ina large saucepan; mix in pecxtin. Stir and cook over high heat until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Immediately add and stir in sugar. Bring to a full rolling boil; boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from the heat; skim foam with metal spoon and then stir and skim 5 minutes to cool slightly and prevent floating fruit.
Ladle jam into hot sterilized jars, filling to within 1/2 inch of the top. seal jars immediately following manufacturer's directions. Cool and store.
