Green Tomato Pickles

5 unpared cucumbers (5 inches each), thinly sliced
1-1/2 lbs. green tomatoes, cored and thinly sliced
1-1/2 lbs. onions, thinly sliced
4 green peppers, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
3 cups vinegar
4 cups sugar
1 tbl salt
1 tbl celery seed
1 tbl mustard seed
Wash and prepare vegetables. Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed and mustard seed in a saucepan; bring to boiling. Add vegetables and simmer for 10 minutes. Continue simmering and ladle the mixture into hot sterilized jars. Fill jars to within 1/2 inch of the top; be sure the liquid touches the vegetables. Remove air bubbles with a rubber spatula. Seal jars. Process 15-20 minutes in boiling water bath.
