3/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg
2-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
Pecan halves
Cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg; mix well. Sift in the dry ingredients; mix thoroughly. Stir in butterscotch morsels. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours. Form into 1 inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place on greased baking sheets. Top each with a pecan half.
Bake at 375* for 10-12 minutes.
