2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter(not margarine)
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 tbl. lemon juice
2 tbl. grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp. baking powder
powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350*.
Mix the flour and powdered sugar together in a small mixing bowl with electric mixer. Add butter and mix. Pat the mixture into a 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes. While mixture is baking, beat eggs. Gradually add sugar, baking powder, lemon juice and lemon rind. Pour the beaten mixture over the hot crust.
Bake for 20-25 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar after removing from the oven.
Cool 4 hours in the refrigerator or cool overnight. Cut into squares.
