Cream Cheese Cookies

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
6 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour
Cream together the butter, sugar and cream cheese. Beat in the egg yolk, vanilla and flour. Form dough into a roll about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill until hard (about 2 hours). Turn roll occasionally to keep round. Slice dough into thin 1/8 inch circles. Put slices on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375* for 8-10 minutes until edges turn a light brown.
