Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

2 cups sugar
1-1/4 cups butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 package (10-oz.) peanut butter chips
Preheat oven to 350°
In a mixing bowl cream sugar and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beating well.
In another bowl combine flour, baking cocoa, baking soda and salt. Blend into the creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes. Cookies will be soft. Cool on the baking sheet until set, about 1 minute. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 24 cookies.
