Chocolate Mint Bars

Cake:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbl. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
Mint Layer:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tbl. green Creme De Menthe
1/2 cup butter, softened
Glaze:
1(6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 tbl. butter
For the cake;
Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 9 by 13 inch pan.
Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Cool completely
Mint Layer:
Beat all ingredients together and spread on the cooled cake. Let set.
For the Glaze:
Melt all ingredients in a double boiler and spread on top of the mint layer. (Score the top layer after completely set to lessen cracking)
Chill 1-1/2 to 2 hours, then cut into small bars.
