Chocolate and Pineapple Cookies

1-1/2 cups sifted flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup pineapple, well drained. Reserve some of the juice for the frosting
Sift together the flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Blend together the shortening and brown sugar; creaming well. Add the egg and vanilla; beat well. Add the buttermilk alternately with the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Blend well after each addition. Fold in the pineapple.
Drop by teaspoonsful onto greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350& for 15-20 minutes. Frost while still warm
Pineapple Frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbl. pineapple juice.
Mix well.
