Banana Spice Cookies

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar; packed
2 eggs
1 cup bananas; mashed ripe (3 med.)
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cloves; ground
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup walnuts; chopped
1/2 cup raisins
In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs and
bananas; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts and raisins. Chill (dough will be very soft). Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
