Campers Clam Chowder

1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. potatoes au gratin
or 1 pkg. scalloped
2 cups water
1-1/2 cups clam juice or chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 (8 oz.) can minced clams with juice
2 tbl. butter or margarine
Combine potatoes and seasoning mix from package with water and clam juice in large saucepan. Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes. Stir in milk, undrained clams and butter. Heat gently 5 minutes longer. Sprinkle with parsley flakes. Makes 5-6 servings. Can save juices from canned clams (when recipes call for drained clams), freeze juices and use when needed.
