Wash orange and cut off top. Carefully scoop out the pulp, using first a sharp knife, then a spoon. Cut out eyes, nose and mouth, as you would if carving a jack-o-lantern. Fill orange shell with vanilla or chocolate ice cream or orange sherbet. Replace top for hat. Serve with cookies.
