Chocolate Chip Muffins II

1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 12 cup muffin pan.
Beat egg in a large bowl until frothy. Beat in the milk and oil.
Mix the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl. Add to the egg mixture. Mix just until moistened.
Fold in the chocolate chips. Fill muffin pans 2/3 full.
Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
