1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups sifted flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 cups blackberries
Preheat oven 375 degrees. Line muffin cups or grease 24 muffin pan cups. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.Add the wet ingredients to the dry, just until moistened. Very gently fold in the berries. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
