Applesauce Muffins

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1 egg
1-1/4 cups applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 nutmeg
1/4 salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream margarine, and sugar. Beat in egg. Add applesauce. Whisk together the dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients all at once stirring until blended.
Bake muffins 20 minutes.
