Apple Raisin Bread

1 medium apple, pared and finely chopped (1 cup)
2 tbl. maple flavored syrup
3 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease and flour a 9 by 5 by 3 inch loaf pan. Mix the apple and syrup; reserve. Beat the baking mix. sugar,cinnamon, eggs and milk in a large bowl on low speed, scraping the bowl frequently for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping the bowl occasionally for 3 minutes. Stir in the apple mixture, raisins and nuts. Pour into the pan.
Bake for 55-60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
