Old Fashioned Potato Soup

1/2 lb. bacon, fried and diced
4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
3 cups carrots, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 tablespoons parsley
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Add the diced vegetables to the bacon drippings and bacon, cover with water. Add parsley flakes, salt and pepper. Cook one hour covered.
