1-1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup water
1 pinch salt
1 large egg white
1 teaspoon each vanilla extract and almond extract
Cook all ingredients together until dissolved then uncover and cook to hard ball stage, 265ยบ. Add salt and let stand while you beat 1 egg white. Add vanilla and almond flavoring if desired. Beat until candy stands in peaks. Drop by teaspoon on waxed paper. Yield: 6 servings
