2 eggs, beaten
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sweet milk
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbl. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
3 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Combine ingredients in the order given. Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot fat. When browned, remove from fat and roll in sugar. These donuts turn themselves. You can add powdered sugar to the granulated sugar,it makes them sugar better. Dropping batter into hot fat eliminates rolling and cutting.
