Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1/2 bell pepper
- 1 small onion
- 5 garlic cloves
- 3/4 to 1 cup soy sauce, Bragg's Liquid Aminos or tamari
- 1 big carrot
- 2 tablespoon chicken style seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- enough water to make 2 1/2 cups
- 3 cups gluten flour
- 1 cup nut meal (pecan, walnut or sunflower)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Directions:
Blend first 7 ingredients in the blender. Add enough water
to total 2 1/2 cups of liquid. In a large bowl, put gluten
flour, nut meal, garlic powder and onion powder and mix
well. Then add the liquid and stir until all is moist and
a doughy consistency. Make into balls the size of a small
orange and put in sandwich baggies. It's a good idea to
double bag them. Drop into boiling water and boil for an
hour and 15 min. May want to stir once in awhile. After
they are done cooking you can slice, chop, mince or do
anything you want and use it as any kind of meat. It can
be fried, baked or stir fried lightly. Sounds difficult to
make, but really is extremely easy and delicious!
Preparation time: 1 1/2 hours
