--1ST LAYER:--
3/4 c. sugar 1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. cocoa 2 tbsp. butter, melted 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 c. milk
--2ND LAYER:--
1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. white sugar 1/4 c. cocoa 1 1/2 c. water
Sift 3/4 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Stir milk, melted butter and vanilla, mix well. Spread batter in greased 9 inch square pan. Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. Pour water over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or when cake top springs back to touch.
