Cranberry Chutney

16 ounces fresh cranberries
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup chopped pears
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
2 tbsp minced candied ginger
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp onion salt (optional)
In large kettle, bring all ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Store in refrigerator. Will keep several weeks.
Yield: 3 cups
